2026 Adaptive & Horsemanship Policies & Procedures
The Adaptive Acknowledgement Form at the bottom of the page is REQUIRED for all participants to complete. Please read thoroughly before completing the form.
Enrollment
Enrollment will renew automatically every month unless paused/terminated by either party. Lesson days and times will remain the same, month to month, unless notified by Little Bit or a change is requested by the participant.
Billing Policy
Tuition is due on the 15th of each month for the following month’s lessons. Tuition is prorated based on the number of lesson days in each month. Participants will still be charged for planned or unplanned absences, and no credits/refunds will be given. See bottom of page for the Refund/Cancellation Policy.
For example, if an individual is participating in the month of February for Adaptive lessons, tuition is due January 15.
The cost per lesson starting January 1, 2026, is $115.
Every participant must provide a valid debit or credit card number, which will be kept on file. If your payment information changes, you are responsible for informing the front desk and providing new payment information.
If you would prefer to make payment via cash or check, such payment must be received prior to the 15th day of each month. If payment is not made by the 15th, the card on file will be charged.
Receipt of payment will be sent to the primary email address on file.
Non-Payment/Declined Credit Card/NSF Checks
If payment is not received on or before the 15th day of each month, you will be charged a $15 late fee. In addition, the participant will not be allowed to participate until your account is paid for in full and is in good standing.
A $35 fee will be assessed for all NSF checks.
Taking Time Off
If a participant chooses to take time off, a written notice must be provided to the following email address: Registration@LittleBit.org. Tuition will not be charged if we are notified by the 10th, after the 10th tuition is not refunded. Participants must take a full month off in order to not be charged. For example, a family might notify Little Bit on May 10 that they will not be participating in programming for June or July but would like to return in August. Once notice is received, the individual will be placed on the stand-by list with the ideal return date to Little Bit’s programming noted for future reference.
Little Bit cannot guarantee that an original lesson time or slot will be available upon the participant’s return to our programming.
Stand-By List
The stand-by list is separate from our traditional waitlist and is for current participants who are not actively participating. The participants on the stand-by list are first in line for any appropriate lesson openings within their stated availability. If an individual does not rejoin the program within 12 months of being placed on the stand-by list, the individual will be moved to the Adaptive waitlist.
Schedule Change
Participants may request a change in their schedule at any time, but this does not guarantee there will be an appropriate lesson available. If there are no appropriate lessons available, the participant may keep their current lesson time or will be placed on the stand-by list.
Families are encouraged to notify Little Bit as soon as possible of a schedule change via Registration@LittleBit.org.
Termination
Both parties have the right to terminate enrollment at any time, if written notice of termination is provided in the manner outlined below.
If a participant chooses to terminate their enrollment, a written notice of their intent to terminate must be provided on or before the 10th day of the month preceding the intended termination to Registration@LittleBit.org. Tuition will not be charged if we are notified by the 10th, after the 10th tuition is not refunded.
No refunds will be given for any classes missed prior to the date of termination (NOT the date of notice of termination). For example, email notice must be provided by January 10 to terminate enrollment on February 1, and no refund will be provided for the remainder of January’s lessons.
Tuition Aid
Little Bit continues to offer tuition aid, however, the number of tuition aid slots are limited each year. This allows us to continue to support families while also staying within the parameters of the expected contributions to Little Bit from generous donors each year. Tuition aid will be granted for six months at a time (January through June and July through December). Tuition Aid — Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center
Participants who are currently receiving tuition aid do NOT need to submit a tuition aid application unless requested by Little Bit.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
If a participant cancels after the 1st of the month, Little Bit will not refund tuition unless the cancellation is an unplanned medical necessity with a doctor’s note or due to an extreme hardship discussed with our Executive Director.
If Little Bit cancels a lesson because we cannot offer the service, we will offer a refund or credit the participant’s account. This excludes cancellations due to weather or “acts of God.” Make-up lessons are not offered.
Refunds, credits, or make-up lessons are not given for lessons missed due to a participant cancellation.
When an unmounted lesson is offered as an alternative to a mounted lesson, and a participant decides not to attend, a refund will not be given.
