Raffi is a warmblood born in Saxony-Anhalt, a state in northeast Germany. The breed name, Sachsen-Anhalt, comes from the German name for the state. In spite of the fact that he is now officially, the tallest horse in the barn, Raffi never throws his weight around. He is very polite, patient, and observant. As his breed history might suggest, Raffi is primarily trained in dressage. Before he came to Little Bit he showed in Oregon with a young man at Second Level, and earned the nickname Marshmallow - presumably because he is a big softie. Even though Raffi enjoys half-passing across the arena, his sensitivity means that he is also a
great horse for independent riders at all levels.
