Kat joined the Little Bit herd in the winter of 2006 when her mom, Andrea Imlay — one of Jenny's students and an occasional substitute instructor at Little Bit, left for college up in Bellingham. Originally purchased at auction as a 3 year old, Kat was first trained as a three day event horse. Andrea bought Kat at the age of 5 and evented her until a leg injury obliged the pair to focus on dressage. Her imposing stature belies a sensitive girl, who is known to flap her "Julia Roberts lips" when she gets her feelings hurt. She is kind, willing, gentle, easy to train, and has really great ground manners. Kat's smooth comfortable movement makes her a good choice for a variety of riders.
